Spirit Squad Regulations

With deadlines approaching, staff writers resigning, and bill drafts backing up, it has all become incredibly clear. . . we clog the system with criminal provisions, and health related provisions, and tax related provisions . . . and education measures . . . I may have counted up to 6 separate bills to figure out how to adequately monitor sex offenders . . . maybe 3 or 4 provisions on meth study groups . . . several on deadly weapon enhancements . . . more on insanity pleas . . . when all we should have been doing was clearing the way for AB 386. This masterful concept requires the State Board of Education to adopt standards to regulate standards of safety for spirit squads. Included in the definition of spirit squads is "any group of persons formed for the purpose of leading cheers or rallies to encourage support for a team that participates in a sport that is sanctioned by the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association." GO TEAM!
